Dr. Rupam Lal Howlader
B.A.LL.B (Hon’s), LL.M. Ph.D
Dr. Rupam Lal Howlader has joined his duty as Assistant Professor in Law at Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Puducherry on March 3, 2017. He obtained B.A.LL.B (Hon’s), LL.M. and Ph.D. from the Department of Law, University of Calcutta. He is a qualified UGC NET with JRF.
He was a Junior Research Fellow at the Department of Law, University of Calcutta. He has done his doctoral research on “Examination of Law Relating to Abolition of Untouchability in India with Special Reference to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989: A Socio Legal Study”.
Dr. Howlader has more than 6 years of teaching and research experience in several reputed institutions in India. He has presented papers in seminars, conferences etc. on numerous occasion and also published a number of research articles in his credit. His thrust area on teaching and research includes Constitutional Law and Human Rights.
