Dr.G.SUBHALAKSHMI, Batch-2001-2006

It gives me immense pleasure and deepest sense of gratitude to pen down my experiences in this legendary institution. My very entry into the institution itself was a tussle. Just like any mother who wants her daughter to become a doctor, so did my mom. But let me tell you, it was definitely a tough time to give up the call letter on MBBS and defend for taking up law as your career. I was quite sure that it was not what I aspired for and Law had interest me a lot and gave me the courage to rise up. While entering the célèbre professional degrees and hi-tech campuses were common dreams for many, I thoroughly enjoyed my freedom and the nurturing in this Government college campus. Some of my experiences like rushing to the library to pick up my copy of book before my friends could, the secret expedition on the citations and the case laws for the next day classes, the road-rocks in the name of ‘strikes’, amicable seniors and different participations representing college in sports, cultural and celebrations, legal aid camps, adorable friends and good teachers were all encouraging and motivating me. Being the topper in under-graduation and the passion for teaching were the catalysts to my career and I thus pursued my research in law and I could finally make my mom happy by becoming a “Dr”. My travel in this institution is more than a decade and all my memories are still afresh and cherishing.

Long Live the Legendary Institution! Cheers to all the entrants! (kural)
